SPACE 2025 in Rennes will be for three days the European epicentre for livestock innovation, with special emphasis on poultry and livestock intelligence
Rennes, France – SPACE 2025, in its 39th edition, is shaping up to be an “exceptional” event to be held from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 September at the Rennes Exhibition Park. Following the remarkable success of the previous 2024 edition, the show once again consolidates its position as the “meeting place of the Livestock Planet” in western France. Participation of more than 1,200 exhibitors is expected, of which one third are from the poultry sector, along with 100,000 visitors from 120 countries.

In a global geopolitical context that is impacting agricultural and food balances, poultry producers, livestock farmers and agricultural producers face food, environmental, social and energy challenges. SPACE presents itself as a “forward-looking professional trade show” offering solutions tailored to livestock farmers worldwide. The 2025 edition will place special “emphasis” on artificial intelligence (AI) in the service of livestock farming, seeking to improve precision, performance, working comfort and animal health management.

This year, the prestigious and internationally recognised Innov´Space Awards also celebrate their 30th anniversary, for which a special edition will be held.
A trade show where internationalisation, especially with regard to Africa, is in its DNA
The international positioning of SPACE is “absolutely unique”. The show brings together professionals from 120 visiting countries and more than 300 international exhibitors from 35 different countries. The European dimension, reflected in the acronym SPACE (Salon de la Production Agricole – Carrefour Européen), is part of the show’s “DNA” and has been consistently developed. SPACE is recognised worldwide.

The show works to enable exhibitors to consolidate and develop their export markets. An active global promotional campaign since 2024 seeks to attract high-level international visitors to Rennes. With more than 300 international companies exhibiting, the show demonstrates its “international appeal”. These companies rely on SPACE to “strengthen their presence on the international stage”, conquer new markets and showcase their expertise to a global audience of decision-makers.
To optimise contacts, SPACE offers services such as the International Club, which facilitates networking and advisory support, and an online B2B appointment platform for scheduling meetings in advance. Also notable is the Top Buyers programme, supported by the Ministry of Economy and coordinated by Business France, which brings key international buyers to France to meet with French suppliers, acting as a “genuine accelerator of opportunities”. 25 Top Buyers are expected in 2025, from countries with high demand or prioritised by exhibitors, including European nations such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania.
A prominent role for the poultry sector
The poultry sector takes “centre stage” at the show. SPACE offers an exceptional range for all sectors, including poultry. According to exhibitor data by sector, “Poultry” has 80 exhibitors represented; however, when adding exhibitors in animal nutrition, poultry health, and equipment and installations, as well as the presence of France’s largest poultry integrators, the poultry sector accounts for more than 30% of exhibitors and attendees.
The conference programme includes topics relevant to poultry production, such as “Environmental assessment of poultry farms”, “poultry meat” and its challenges and prospects, the application of Artificial Intelligence to “poultry welfare and health”, the possibility of combining “photovoltaic poultry farms” with free-range operations, and removing barriers to “extending laying cycles in laying hens”.

In addition, SPACE is collaborating on the new ITAVI Competition within the Vaccimieux project, which aims to highlight innovative initiatives by poultry and rabbit producers to facilitate and improve vaccination safety. This competition rewards ingenuity and best practices across different poultry production systems (meat, eggs) and vaccine administration methods.
Also returning is the dedicated training course on “poultry management in hot climates” in collaboration with INNÔZH, aimed at African professionals, addressing key topics adapted to their conditions.

SPACE TV by Web-agri will cover topics from all sectors, including the challenges and prospects of the poultry industry.
SPACE 2025 promises to be a key event for livestock, agricultural and poultry professionals at European and international level, providing a space for innovation, dialogue and commercial development across the poultry and livestock sectors.
