VIV Europe 2026 Preview · Broiler production
Ventilation powered by the sun, lighting managed from a screen and feeders from day one: Utrecht fine-tunes the broiler farm.
In broiler production, every tenth of a feed conversion ratio and every kilowatt counts. VIV Europe 2026 focuses its broiler offering on climate, energy and precision management.
Climate and energy: the heaviest cost
SKOV, with nearly 50 years of experience and equipment on more than 100,000 farms, attends as a full-service provider of climate control and farm management. The major energy innovation comes from Dacs with the MagFan + Solectrifier combination: the Solectrifier powers MagFan fans directly from photovoltaic panels, reduces electricity consumption by up to 90% compared to traditional 50″ fans, and keeps ventilation running even during grid outages. Scan-Air rounds out the chapter with ventilation and natural light systems.
“Fans that keep spinning on solar power, even during a grid outage: broiler climate control is becoming cheaper and more resilient.”
“Copy and Paste” lighting programmes between poultry houses easier than ever
HATO Lighting presents HLM Pro, a standalone micro-computer that enables lighting programmes to be built visually, scheduled weeks in advance and copied from one house to another in just a few clicks, as well as controlling new technologies such as CORAX CoreCall.
Eating well from day one
Feeding solutions are also represented. Codaf brings its patented Giò feeder, designed to facilitate feed access from the earliest days and reduce waste, and Sperotto its STAR feeder, featuring a low-profile pan and end-of-line sensor to prevent spillage.
Fewer hands, greater efficiency
With labour costly and scarce, Anglia Autoflow showcases its Easyload on-farm broiler harvester to automate bird catching and reduce downgrades. In parallel, climate controllers are increasingly integrating automatic flock weighing to adjust ventilation and feeding to the actual live weight of the birds.
Note: this article is just a small sample of everything that will be on show with relevance to poultry at the fair. With 400 exhibitors at VIV EUROPE 2026 and a further 200 at the co-located feed manufacturing equipment show VICTAM, thousands of products and solutions will be on display from 2 to 4 June. For more information, we recommend consulting the official exhibitor catalogue, which lists all companies and their stand numbers.
