The National Federation of Poultry Farmers of Colombia (Fenavi) shone brightly during the OVUM 2024 Latin American Poultry Congress, held from 12 to 15 November 2024 in Uruguay, reaffirming its leadership in the promotion of poultry meat and eggs. Thanks to its strategic communication programmes, Fenavi received the most prestigious awards presented by the Latin American Poultry Institute (ILP) and the Latin American Egg Institute (ILH).
With regard to the Poultry programme, Fenavi was honoured with the two highest ILP awards: Best Integrated Campaign and Best Trade Association Campaign, recognising the effectiveness of its efforts to position poultry meat as an accessible, nutritious and healthy option in the Colombian diet.
Meanwhile, the Egg programme swept the board with a total of six awards, including three Golden Eggs and recognition for Best Integrated Campaign, reaffirming Fenavi’s commitment and excellence in promoting this essential food. These accolades consolidate the Federation’s standing as a benchmark in communication and promotion within the country’s poultry sector.
OVUM 2024, regarded as the most important event in Latin American poultry farming, was held from 12 to 15 November at the Punta del Este Convention Centre, Uruguay. It brought together more than 3,000 participants, 200 companies and 50 speakers, making it a key meeting place for the leading players in the poultry sector across the Americas and worldwide. It was organised by the Latin American Poultry Association (ALA) in collaboration with local trade associations APAS and CUPRA.
During the congress, Fenavi’s executive president, Gonzalo Moreno, together with Luis Rodolfo Álvarez and Olga Patricia Castillo, leaders of the award-winning programmes, expressed their gratitude for the recognition received and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the sector. “These awards are the result of the joint effort between trade associations, producers and strategic partners. Fenavi will continue working to strengthen a sector that is fundamental to Colombia’s economic and food development,” they stated.
In the context of Poultry Farmer’s Day, Fenavi took the opportunity to pay tribute to all Colombian poultry producers, whose dedication and constant work contribute to the growth and consolidation of this key sector for the country. The awards won at OVUM 2024 not only highlight the quality of the campaigns developed by Fenavi, but also reflect the unity and shared effort of the entire Colombian poultry industry.
Fenavi thus reaffirms its position as a benchmark in Latin American poultry farming, demonstrating that coordinated work and innovation in communication strategies are fundamental pillars for the success and sustainability of the sector.
