A staunch advocate for livestock farming, Didier Lucas has been elected President of SPACE, succeeding Marcel Denieul after more than 10 years presiding over the International Livestock Trade Show in Rennes.
Didier Lucas, aged 54, a pig farmer in Brittany (Saint-Alban), has been elected President of SPACE. Involved in trade unionism since 2004, he chaired the FDSEA of the Côtes d’Armor department from 2010 to 2019. Currently President of the Chamber of Agriculture of that same department and Vice-President of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Brittany region, Didier LUCAS is recognised for his unwavering commitment to agriculture and livestock farming.
Since 2019, he has led the “Space for the Future” at SPACE, a forward-looking area dedicated to innovation and anticipating developments in livestock farming. He succeeds Marcel Denieul, President of SPACE since 2014, in a continued effort to support professionals through the profound changes taking place in their sector.

« I am aware of the responsibility that falls upon me, to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors who created this unmissable event, nearly 40 years ago, in the heart of our great agricultural region of the Grand West. SPACE has become the jewel of innovation in the service of livestock farming, both present and future. Everyone converges here and seeks suitable, inspiring solutions for all sectors. In the face of social, environmental and climate challenges, but also because of the fundamental role of food and agriculture in every country, I wish SPACE to remain a world reference in solutions tailored to the needs of farmers and businesses in the agricultural sector ».
