31 July 2024. On 3 July 2024, the following organisations met in Madrid with the aim of updating the definitive salary tables for 2023 (retroactive) and for 2024. On behalf of the Trade Unions:
– On behalf of UGT: member of the negotiating committee of the State Collective Agreement for poultry farms and other animals: Sebastián Serena Expósito.
– On behalf of CC.OO.: member of the negotiating committee of the State Collective Agreement for poultry farms and other animals: Marco A. Pérez Martínez.
– On behalf of CIG: member of the negotiating committee of the State Collective Agreement for poultry farms and other animals: Tomás Martínez Rodríguez.
and on behalf of the Employers’ Associations:
– On behalf of FEDEROVO: Enrique Díaz Yubero and Maribel Rúa Peón (Adviser).
– On behalf of AVIANZA: Jordi Monfort Ibieta and Rubén Rivero Cano (Adviser).
– On behalf of ASEPRHU: María del Mar Fernández Poza and Rubén Rivero Cano (Adviser).
agreeing on the following:
1. Salary Increases: The previous agreement provided for a lower salary increase (around 2% per year), whereas the new agreement raises this to 3% for 2023 and 2.75% for 2024.
2. CPI Adjustment: The previous agreement did not include an explicit salary adjustment based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which has now been introduced in the new agreement to safeguard purchasing power.
This new agreement represents significant changes compared to the previous one, prioritising the protection of workers’ purchasing power. Furthermore, the introduction of wage review clauses seeks to ensure that pay is kept in line with the actual increase in the cost of living. The parties also agreed to resume negotiations during the second half of January 2025, once the definitive CPI figure for 2024 is known.
