Tajonar (Navarra). Grupo AN, one of Spain’s largest poultry integrators, has consolidated its commitment to growth and modernisation with the recent inauguration of its new corporate headquarters and the launch of a significant expansion of more than 4,100 square metres at its feed mill at its central site in Tajonar.
The new corporate headquarters: a model of sustainability
On Friday, 17 October 2025, Grupo AN officially inaugurated its new corporate offices in Tajonar. These facilities, designed to combine modernity with energy efficiency and sustainability criteria, are the result of works that began in July 2024.
The renovation and construction project included the comprehensive refurbishment of the two existing buildings, along with the addition of zenithal skylights and a green roof. The building houses the institutional area for the Presidency and Governing Board, as well as a multipurpose auditorium.
Francisco Arrarás, President of Grupo AN, highlighted the value of the new facilities, stating that they will serve to “provide a better service and to work under improved conditions with our partner cooperatives, clients and suppliers.” They will also serve to promote the work of the cooperative and its values, which have been its raison d’être for more than a century.

With these expansions and the acquisition of Grupo Borau, Grupo AN consolidates its position as the largest grain operator in Spain, handling more than 1.1 million tonnes annually.
The regional government determined that this “significant modification” to the feed mill will not generate “adverse effects on the environment.” Nevertheless, the cooperative will be required to implement specific fire protection measures, including the installation of a real-time grain temperature monitoring system and ensuring that the water supply system guarantees provision to the new facilities.
After Grupo AN submitted the relevant authorisation request to proceed with the project in early May 2025, the regional government granted approval on 18 September, on the grounds that the “significant modification” to the feed mill “has no adverse effects on the environment.” That said, the cooperative will be required to adopt the corresponding fire protection measures, including, among others, the installation of “a real-time grain temperature monitoring system” and ensuring that “the water supply system guarantees provision to the new facilities.”
This initiative comes several months after Grupo AN carried out a major transaction to further strengthen one of the agroalimentary cooperative’s core pillars: grain. In March of this year, it acquired Grupo Borau, a company of Huesca origin comprising four businesses specialising in the commercialisation of cereals, seeds, fertilisers, crop protection products and transport. In this regard, the Navarrese cooperative handles more than 1.1 million tonnes of grain per year, making it the largest grain operator in Spain.
Within the context of Spanish poultry production, Grupo AN, through its poultry division AN AVÍCOLA MÉLIDA SL, ranks among the five largest poultry meat producers in Spain. In 2023, it slaughtered more than 84,000 tonnes of poultry meat and held a 6% share of the broiler meat market.
