IRTA and CVC Present the Latest Advances in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Poultry Farming

Next Thursday, 21 May 2026, Constantí will host a technology conference to demonstrate the potential of computer vision in improving the productivity, health and welfare of broiler chickens.

The poultry sector is undergoing a continuous process of digitalisation and efficiency improvement. With the aim of raising awareness of the strategic opportunities offered by new technologies, a technical conference entitled “Artificial Vision Systems Applied to Poultry Farming” has been scheduled. The event aims to serve as a bridge between cutting-edge scientific research and the livestock business community, promoting knowledge of artificial intelligence models in the day-to-day management of farms. The conference is aimed at poultry farmers, veterinarians and other industry professionals.

The conference is organised within the framework of the IRTA Digital Agrolabs and will feature leading researchers from the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) and the Computer Vision Centre (CVC). During the morning session, practical solutions will be presented ranging from individual animal monitoring to the early detection of health problems.
